Everton want to sign Wolfsburg midfielder Aster Vranckx

Everton are reportedly keen on seeking a move for Wolfsburg’s box-to-box midfielder Aster Vranckx.

According to Italian media outlet Calciomercato, the Toffees want to sign the 19-year-old who’s also previously been on the radar of AC Milan.

In the summer of 2021, he moved from Mechelen, a mid-table team in Belgium, to representing a Champions League club in one of Europe’s top five leagues.

This Everton midfield is in some desperate need of fluidity and Vranckx could be the right man to solve it.

At 19, he shows the composure of a player in his prime, and one can only wonder just how far he goes if he keeps playing like this.

While he’s not been capped for Belgium, he has represented their U-21s in the past and it seems like it’s only a matter of time before he gets his first senior call-up.

At Everton, the spotlight is certainly going to be bigger than what it is in Germany where only two clubs usually clog the headlines.

Also, Belgium head coach Roberto Martinez would surely be keeping an eye on games of his former club and he would take note of Vranckx if he hits the ground running.

The teenager has been labelled as someone who “oozes class on the ball” and we cannot wait to see how he fares in the Premier League should he move to Merseyside.
