Bristol City do not want to sell Everton target Alex Scott

Bristol City assistant manager Curtis Fleming claims that he and Nigel Pearson are not looking to part ways with Everton target Alex Scott.

According to Bristol World, the Toffees are among a host of Premier League clubs keen on signing the 18-year-old.

Scott has been a regular at Bristol this season, playing in a plethora of positions including wing-back and attacking midfield.

Fleming said, “The reality of football is if someone comes in and says I’ll give you £100million, we’d go alright then we might have to take that, but also if someone comes in and offers £400k you’d respond, are you winding me up?

“Nothing is going to happen here. We’re not thinking about him going, we haven’t even had it in the back of our mind.”

Going to be tough

Scott is a highly rated player so signing him was never going to be an easy affair.

As of now, it’s just West Ham and Leicester, but soon there’ll be more clubs looking to snap up his services.

Everton

Looking at Bristol’s stance, they’re not particularly inclined to letting go of the teenage sensation.

They know that if they keep him for another year or two, his value his only going to shoot up.

If any club is desperate to sign him this summer, they will have to pay over the top – something that Everton cannot afford to do because of their FFP constraints.
