Frank Lampard: Everton ace Calvert-Lewin injured ahead of Manchester City game
Frank Lampard has confirmed that Dominic Calvert-Lewin has not been named in the Everton starting eleven due to an injury.
The England forward was not an injury doubt ahead of the Manchester City clash.
Thus, his omission surprised many but he has suffered an adductor injury and is likely to be out for the next 10 days.
Via their official account, Everton shared, “Frank Lampard has confirmed that Dominic Calvert-Lewin misses #EVEMCI with an adductor injury which will keep him out for a week to 10 days.
Shame
Calvert-Lewin has missed a considerable amount of games for the Toffees this season.
Just when it looked like he was back, he is now set to be out for another two games, at the very least.
The last match Lampard would have wanted him to miss would’ve been against his former side.

The Citizens have run riot over teams in the Premier League and the Toffees will have to be at their best to get anything from this game.
We’re hoping that Lampard has a few tricks up his sleeve and playing Donny van de Beek as a 10 could help a great deal.
He’s terrific in the final third and he must be played closer to the opponent’s goal as much as possible.
