Ally McCoist and Laura Woods react to Manchester City handball controversy v Everton
Laura Woods has destroyed the handball controversy surrounding Manchester City’s win against Everton on Saturday.
Rodri clearly handled the ball in the box during their 1-0 win, but it was somehow not given as a penalty.
Ally McCoist labelled it “embarrassing” after Woods found it hard not to suggest it was a big-club bias decision.

Speaking live on talkSPORT this morning (28 February), Woods started the debate that left most in the studio bewildered.
“It doesn’t help the idea of big club bias’,” she said. “What are we seeing here? I’m not suggesting there is, but it’s difficult to defend it.”
McCoist agreed and kept it simple in his reaction to the fact that it wasn’t given by the officials or even VAR.
“It was bordering on embarrassing.”

Embarrassing.
There is simply no explanation for this.
After all of the controversy that has surrounded handballs in recent years, the officials couldn’t have wished for an easier decision to make.
This wasn’t even on the border, it was as clear as you’re ever going to see, before and after all of these rule changes.
Rodri had his back to the officials, but his arm was that wide, that made no difference as it was clear for everyone to see at Goodison Park.
There is nothing anyone can do now, though, with the decision and more importantly, point, gone with the wind.
Something needs to be done about this, it was a massive controversy and someone needs to come out and explain this to us.
