Everton midfielder Tom Davies faces an ‘uncertain’ future at the club
Everton midfielder Tom Davies faces an “uncertain” future at the club according to Paul Brown.
The Englishman has only made seven appearances for the Toffees this season due to undergoing surgery on a hamstring injury.
Brown believes the Blues could use the local talent to balance their books having only been able to spend £1.7million last summer.

He told GiveMeSport: “The problem for him, and the club, is that because of their FFP situation, and him being a homegrown player, I think if ever there was a decent offer to come in for Tom Davies, they’d realise a lot of profit on him because he’s come through the ranks there.
“They haven’t had to pay a fee. So, I think his future is a bit uncertain, really.”
Disappointing
This would be a massive shame if Davies was moved on purely for FFP reasons.
Understandably he hasn’t exactly made the impact everyone was expecting him to when he initially burst on the scene in 2016 but he is still a very good player.

Frank Lampard obviously wants to rebuild this squad and the midfield has already benefited from that heavily, but a large overhaul mightn’t be the best move.
Davies is a local lad who not only understands exactly what it means to play for Everton but adores the club. He would give his absolute all and has frequently shown that he can do a job for the team.
This next year or so is going to be vital in his Blues career. He will be desperate to get back into action and get himself into the new manager’s good books as he looks to earn a regular place in the team.
