Gabriel Agbonlahor: Everton fans have no expectations to win trophies

Gabriel Agbonlahor believes that Everton fans are so used to not winning trophies that they’ve accepted the reality.

Speaking on talkSPORT, the former Aston Villa forward was taking swipes at Spurs after they lost to Middlesbrough in the FA Cup.

He then compared their situation to the Toffees, given the fact that their last major trophy was won in 1995 when they lifted the FA Cup.

Agbonlahor asked, “Why do Spurs fans think that they should win trophies ahead of Wolves, Aston Villa, Everton?”

To which Laura Woods replied, “Because they’ve got a world class manager, that’s why they brought him in. They’ve got Harry Kane, Son.”

“Maybe Spurs fans have to get used to, like Everton. Everton haven’t won anything in many years and their fans are used to it. Lower your expectations.”

Bonkers argument

To say that the Toffees fans are fine with not winning trophies is ridiculous.

They’ve seen the club win countless first division honours and become a European heavyweight.

People supporting the club for over 30 years know how historic and huge the team is on Merseyside.

Of course, the last two decades have not been ideal and there are no signs of things changing, but at least the feeling of a big club still exists in Goodison Park.

Agbonlahor is once again going on about his senseless rants on talkSPORT and it’s quite silly if he actually believes whatever he’s saying.

In other Everton news, a Super Computer has predicted if the Toffees will face relegation after their 1-0 defeat v Manchester City.
