Everton face Boreham Wood in the FA Cup Fifth Round on Thursday and Kevin Campbell doesn’t want to see them underestimate their opponents.

Frank Lampard took charge of his first Toffees game in the previous round of the competition, delivering an uplifting 4-1 win over Brentford at Goodison Park.

And the former Everton forward is not interested in resting players for Premier League, action despite the visitors being four divisions down the pyramid.

“I think Everton should go strong, definitely. This is the FA Cup, you don’t take chances,” Campbell told Goodison News.

“I don’t care. You can tweak your squad and change it, but I just think – get your best XI out there and win the game.

“You can always take people off after that, but go and get the result.

“And I know it’s only Boreham Wood but these teams aren’t messing around, they can cause an upset.

Following the cruel 1-0 defeat at home to Manchester City in the league Lampard’s side sit 17th in the Premier League, and just a point above the relegation zone.

The decision not to award a late penalty for a Rodri handball robbed the home side of the chance to win a valuable point.
