Ally McCoist stunned by Everton ace Anthony Gordon v Boreham Wood
Ally McCoist was left stunned by Everton winger Anthony Gordon in the FA Cup clash against Boreham Wood this evening.
The young talent was one of few bright spot for the Toffees this evening at Goodison Park against the non-league side.
Gordon was the one player getting on the ball and taking on his man, with one “beautiful” piece of skill catching the eye of McCoist.

Speaking live during ITV coverage of the clash, McCoist was wowed by Gordon and one piece of skill.
“He could have done with releasing it earlier,” he said.
“It was a beautiful turn on the halfway line, though.”

Wow.
Frank Lampard would not have been impressed with most of his squad up until the first goal from Salomon Rondon.
If there was one man who stood up, though, as he often does, it was Gordon on what a miserable rainy night.
The young winger has made his breakthrough to the England youth set-up this season, and it is thoroughly deserved.
It doesn’t matter if it was ‘only’ Boreham Wood, they made it to this game on merit, and they had to be beaten.
Most of our starting squad didn’t get that message, though, and it took far too long to get a foothold with our quality.
Gordon is the future, and this side will surely be built around him for many years to come at Goodison Park based on this season.
