Frank Lampard has delivered fitness update on Everton midfielder Donny van de Beek
Everton will face Boreham Wood in the FA Cup fifth-round tie on Thursday (3 March) and Frank Lampard has provided a positive fitness update on Donny van de Beek.
The Dutchman joined on loan from Manchester United on the January transfer deadline day and has made a big impact already.
The 24-year-old picked up an injury in the second half in the 1-0 defeat against Manchester City and he was replaced by Dele Alli.

However, Lampard has confirmed that the midfielder has been training this week and that there’s nothing to worry about him.
“Donny’s fine. He’s been training this week,” said Lampard, as quoted by Liverpool Echo.
Van de Beek, meanwhile, won’t be playing tomorrow, as he is cup-tied.
Big boost
Van de Beek, who has been hailed as “excellent” by Kevin Campbell, is expected to return to starting line-up against Tottenham Hotspur in the next Premier League game.
Everton are sitting perilously close to the relegation zone, and they need some big wins to climb up the ladder.
Tottenham have been very inconsistent at the moment, and Lampard must feel he can get a positive result from north London.

The Toffees fans are waiting to see how Lampard shapes his midfield, now that Abdoulaye Doucoure is fit again.
In theory, a three-man midfield of Doucoure, Allan and Van de Beek could be terrific. Both Doucoure and Van de Beek can perform versatile roles, and Lampard can extract more from the Dutchman.
The focus now shifts to the FA Cup where the Toffees should win this tie at home, but strange things always happen in cup games.
