Sky Sports pundit Ekoku slams Jordan Pickford in Everton v Spurs

Efan Ekoku savages Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford for letting Son score in the first half on Monday (March 7).

The Toffees went down through a Michael Keane own goal but conceded another one when the South Korean hit the ball past the Englishman.

Pickford clearly should’ve done better to stop him from scoring, but failed to hold a strong hand and the ball ended up in the back of the net.

Speaking on the Premier League world feed, Ekoku, a Sky Sports pundit, said, “It’s a goalkeeping error there. I’m sorry the England number one has to do better there. The awful becomes terrible from Pickford.”

Shocking

After putting in such a valiant effort against Manchester City, nobody would’ve expected the Toffees to crumble like they did today.

They’ve looked all over the place and Antonio Conte has got his tactics spot on.

He has exploited the lack of pace in this Toffees side to lethal effect.

The likes of Ryan Sessegnon, Son and Harry Kane have been having a field day.

Errors from Pickford are clearly not helping Everton’s cause as they’re already fighting a losing battle.

Only a miracle in the second half can see the Toffees come away from this game with something.
