Alan Myers: Everton unlikely to face Premier League points deduction
Alan Myers claims that Everton are unlikely to face any Premier League points deductions amid their financial mismanagement.
According to The Daily Mail on Tuesday night, there were fears within the club that they could be the first top division in England to breach the sustainability rules.
This came after they suffered losses of £260million between 2017 and 2020 which is £155million more than is allowed over a three-year period.

When asked about it on Twitter, Myers, the Sky Sports news editor, does not think there is too much truth to it.
He replied, “I’d doubt it very much.”
Good news
The news dropped as a major bombshell to Everton fans who woke up to the possibility of a points deduction.
Everyone knew that the club were facing FFP troubles, which is why they barely spent anything in the summer.
Even in January, they ensured that they had players going the other way, before making any signings.

The likes of Dele Alli and Donny van de Beek were not paid for as one was a free transfer and the other one was a loan.
As of now, it seems that there will be no points deduction, but some clarity is needed from the club and they must address this as soon as possible.
