Simon Jordan: Everton unlikely to be sanctioned this season
Simon Jordan believes that Everton will not be sanctioned with a points deduction this season due to FFP violations.
According to The Daily Mail, the club are set to sit down and negotiate with the Premier League.
This is because they suffered a £260million loss between 2017 and 2020 which is £155million more than the amount allowed over a three-year period.

Speaking live on talkSPORT, Jordan said, “With the £260million in losses they’ve posted, I think there is up to 160million worth in allowable adjustments due to Covid.
“They will have another £100million but again there will be allowable adjustments for that as well. It’s very difficult to see how they’re not going to be above the £105million.
“No Premier League club has been sanctioned before and it’s going to be very difficult for the Premier League not to sanction Everton but I very much doubt that they will sanction them this season.
“If you want me to put money on it, I’d be amazed if they get sanctioned this season.”
Hope they don’t
The Toffees are already facing plenty of issues.
It started with hiring Rafa Benitez in the summer and then not backing him, which eventually led to his termination.

Despite Frank Lampard’s arrival and signings in January, the club still are on the brink of relegation.
Add to that, they’ve severed ties with a number of sponsors which will only hamstring them financially.
A points deduction this season is the last thing they would want as it would all but confirm their relegation.
