Everton in trouble as Dominic Calvert-Lewin struggles for form
Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin is badly struggling with his form which adds an extra headache for Frank Lampard.
The 24-year-old is the talisman figure at the club who scored 21 goals last season. This season, it’s been a different story.
He has been absent for up to five months with injuries but hasn’t been able to pick up from where he left off.

With the Toffees fighting for survival, Lampard needs his key players to pull them out of this dreadful situation.
If not Calvert-Lewin, then who? But the England striker himself has found it really tough to hit the ground running after returning from injuries.
According to the Liverpool Echo, his percentage in terms of shots finding the target has fallen from 57% to just 35%.
He is attempting more shorts but the accuracy has dropped considerably.

It reflects that Calvert-Lewin hasn’t found his clinical finishing touch this season, and it adds to the insurmountable pressure Lampard is already under.
He is the best striker at the club, and Lampard has no other option but to pin hopes on him. If he can’t get the goals, the Toffees boss is left with little or no solution.
Is he struggling with confidence? Is he not fully fit enough? Has he not regained his full sharpness? We can only speculate, but the crux remains – this is a shadow of Calvert-Lewin we all know.
The Toffees have suffered four defeats in their last five games in the Premier League. The next three games are vital for them, with two of them being at their home turf. They must aim for six points.
In other Everton news, a reliable journalist has rubbished claims that the club were set to lose £300million as a result of severing ties with Alisher Usmanov.
