Andy Gray shares what Peter Reid told him about Everton on Sunday morning
Peter Reid has told Andy Gray that he’s concerned about the situation Everton are finding themselves at the moment.
Everton lost 1-0 to Wolves at Goodison Park on Sunday [13 March] and are now only outside of the Premier League’s relegation zone on goal difference.
Away from their on-field issues, there have been worrying reports about the club’s financial situation and the sanctioning of Alisher Usmanov, a business partner of Farhad Moshiri, has also caused huge concerns.

In a conversation with one another ahead of Everton’s defeat to Wolves, Reid told Gray how worried he is right now and as a result, that’s worried Gray.
“They are anxious times for me. I spoke to Peter Reid this morning, he’s off to the game, he’s on his way [and he’s] really concerned about what he’s about to see,” said Gray, as shown in a video clip on the beIN SPORTS Twitter account on Sunday prior to the defeat to Wolves.
“That worries me. When Reidy’s concerned, I am.
“He’s got a job to do, Frank.”
We’re all worried
Evertonians have not known worry like this for a very long time.
We’ve not suffered a relegation since the 1950/51 season, which means that almost all Blues fans will have only ever remembered us playing in the top-flight.
But it really does feel as though now could be the time when the Blues do actually drop into the second-tier.
We’ve come close a few times in the Premier League, finishing 17th on three occasions.
Evertonians were worried then but are they as worried as they are now?
Nothing is going well for the club.
If you look at the mess on the pitch, it’s actually made a bit better by the complete and utter aberration that’s going on off it.
We’re scared. Not only for relegation but for the financial security of this great football club going forward.
