Gary Lineker shares reaction to Everton loss v Wolves

Gary Lineker is worried for the survival hopes of Everton after their 1-0 defeat against Wolves in the Premier League on Sunday.

The Toffees failed to get their survival quest back on track and ended up losing in front of their home fans.

They’re currently level on points with 18th placed Watford, but only stay out of the drop zone due to their superior goal difference.

Via his personal Twitter account, Lineker wrote, “Really, really worried for
Everton after their defeat at home to Wolves.”

Worrying times

These are really worrying times for being an Everton fan.

Relegation is not a reality that the Goodison Park faithful have dealt with for a long time.

However, this season, things have gone horribly wrong for the Toffees and Frank Lampard has done little to instil any confidence.

Everton

After a failed spell at Chelsea, there were surprises when the board decided to appoint him as Rafa Benitez’s successor.

Thus far, the only league win under him has come against Leeds and there is definitely a reason for fans to be worried.

The January signings are still to fit into the side properly and the Toffees are running out of time given that this is the business end of the campaign.

In other Everton news, Manchester United boss Ralf Rangnick has apologised to Everton with regard to his comments about them due to what’s been going on at Chelsea.
