Mason Holgate shares brutal assessment of Everton teammates
Everton defender Mason Holgate has admitted there is “nowhere to hide” in his brutally honest assessment of his teammates amid the Blues’ terrible form.
The Toffees dropped even closer to the relegation zone following their 1-0 defeat against Wolves at Goodison Park on Sunday (March 13).
Frank Lampard’s side are now level on points with 18th place Watford with goal difference the only thing keeping them out of the drop zone.
Speaking post-match, Holgate said as per Football Daily: “If you look at the squad that we have got we should be nowhere near here, there is no hiding that.
“But we are, so we have to deal with it.
“There is nothing much more I can say on it then we have got to deal with it, there is nowhere to hide, it is time for us to step up.”
Terrible
Wolves have been in great form recently but there are absolutely no excuses for a performance like that.
The Blues are at least supposed to be good at home, but they were completely dominated by Bruno Lage’s side and barely laid a glove on them.

The performance just wasn’t good enough in every single way and the Blues have reached a new low with only goal difference keeping them out of the drop zone.
Yes, Everton have three games in hand and after they play those games the table could look very different but, in all honesty, they don’t look capable of winning any game at the moment.
The mentality of this team is disgusting, stupid decisions all over the park has cost the team yet again and no matter how many positives Lampard tries to spin on the result, things must change and fast.
They have so many tough games coming up from now until the end of the season, it really is difficult to see where the Blues’ next win will come from.
