Neil Warnock savages Everton players claiming Frank Lampard needs help
Neil Warnock has savaged Frank Lampard’s Everton players, claiming the 43-year-old needs more leaders on the pitch, as per talkSPORT.
The Toffees sir rather uncomfortably in 17th, level on points with 18th placed Watford with goal difference the only thing between them and the relegation zone.
Warnock questioned the quality of the players and whether they have the quality or determination to stay up.

“It’ll be hard at the minute for [Lampard],” the 73-year-old told talkSPORT.
“I look at managers when they’re struggling and you look at their body language – sometimes you just don’t really know what you’re going to do next.
“Frank’s in a difficult situation. [Dominic] Calvert-Lewin, I think is such an important player for them, he’s got to get him fit.
“I don’t think that the defenders are all Premier League standard – not all of them – but one or two players could pull their finger and help the manager a bit.
“When you’re in a situation like Frank is, I don’t think it’s about ability. I don’t think it’s about passing, I think it’s about what you’ve got under your shirt.
“You get a taste in your mouth when you’re down there and it’s hard, but they’ve got to find that from somewhere.
“I do think they’ve got enough when they play together and if Calvert-Lewin can avoid injury.”
“I don’t see that in the squad. Frank needs help on the pitch. He needs one or two leaders. He needs people to help him in that dressing room.”

Same old
It has been like this at the club for far too long now. Honestly, the state of the squad in the last few seasons has been embarrassing but people are only starting to take notice now that the Blues are in the midst of a relegation dogfight.
Everton have been through several managers in recent years, with some hot young talents as well as some household names but not one of them has been able to get a tune out of this group of players.
Of course, the nature of the various appointments has left the squad in the mismatched state it finds itself in now but there is a lot of expensive quality in the group, but you would never think that watching them play.
There has been more fight since the arrival of Lampard which was great to see with lacklustre displays for far too long, but it is almost as if the new boss’ honeymoon period is wearing off and the Blues are reverting back to old ways.
