Everton attacker Anthony Gordon could be in line for England call-up amid recent form

Everton attacker Anthony Gordon could be given a closer look ahead of the international break.

Gareth Southgate has not been a manager afraid to give youngsters a shot and could do so with the Toffees player.

Gordon, 21, is yet to make his Three Lions bow and while March may come too early for him, he is certainly making all the right kinds of noises.

Jarrod Bowen’s has been in contention for the England squad but is currently an injury doubt

Not only is Gordon fit, he’s arguably in better form, younger and deserves to be picked ahead of the West Ham forward.

If there’s one Everton player who’s exceeded expectations this season, it is Gordon.

The 21-year-old would not have thought that he would be such a key figure both under Rafa Benitez and Frank Lampard.

However, he’s taken advantage of injuries and the lack of quality signings to cement his place as a first-team regular.

He is now one of Lampard’s first names on the team sheet and a favourite at Goodison Park.

The future seems to be very bright for the young Englishman who is taking the Premier League by storm.

Hopefully, other players in the side look up to his rise and get inspired by it sooner rather than later.
