Simon Jordan questions if Frank Lampard is right man for Everton
Despite naming Everton manager Frank Lampard a “winner”, Simon Jordan believes he might not be the right man for the difficult job at Goodison Park.
The former Chelsea boss has failed to make the impact he would have wanted since joining the club as the Blues sit in 17th in the Premier League, just a matter of goal difference above the drop zone.
Tonight (March 17) sees the Toffees welcome an in-form Newcastle team and Jordan has urged Lampard to “learn quickly” to turn things around on Merseyside.

“His mindset doesn’t need to change, his is one of a winner,” he said on live on talkSPORT.
“His ability to be able to relate to those who aren’t winners is the difficulty. He doesn’t have the traits of a loser.
“He doesn’t have the traits for someone to be in a position where Everton are in.
“He hasn’t been there, he doesn’t know what that looks like so he has got to learn very quickly.”
Experienced
Lampard is used to winning throughout his career, yes, but he hasn’t enjoyed the same success as a manager as he did when playing.
The former Derby boss has shown great signs of potential throughout his short time managing but he has hardly proven himself to be a winner as Jordan claims.

He won’t have the best understanding of relegation dogfights, but he knows the league better than anyone and the staff he has around him has more than enough experience to help navigate Lampard through this tough time.
It is imperative the Blues start winning and sooner rather than later. Tonight’s opponents Newcastle were not long ago in a worse position that Everton are in the table and they now find themselves sitting quite comfortably in 14th.
Hopefully Lampard can replicate the brilliant run of form Eddie Howe conducted with the Toon and catapult the Toffees as far away from the drop zone as possible.
