Gary Lineker reacts after Everton pitch invasion v Newcastle
Gary Lineker has insisted that the pitch invader in the Everton win over Newcastle on Thursday was right.
Despite not agreeing with his methods of attaching himself to the posts, Lineker admitted that the message he was trying to get across was correct.
The time taken to free him from the post also saw the added time that allowed Everton to smash home the winner in almost the 100th minute.

Writing on his personal Twitter account, Lineker shared his view on the controversial moment nearly 48 hours before.
“Whether you approve of this young man’s methods or not, he’s right, his future is perilous,” he said.
“Desperate times and all that.”
Perilous?
No matter what message this was being used for, the methods were simply dangerous and you saw the pain he was in.
While the huge bolt cutters were being cranked, there were clear signs of panic and that shouldn’t be what it takes to get the message across.
This was the second game where “Just Stop Oil” have tried something like this and there are no big fears that it could continue to happen.
Surely, different platforms are coming up with ways to prevent this, with football games raking in the biggest viewing numbers and audiences for protesters such as this.
If this continues to happen though, Lineker, along with many others could start to see their frustrations grow.
Hopefully, a resolution can be found sooner rather than later.
