Stephen Warnock flies off hinges and destroys Everton ace Jordan Pickford live on Sky Sports

Stephen Warnock has gone flying off his hinges while destroying Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford this week.

The England international recovered in time to take on Crystal Palace in the FA Cup, but it ended 4-0 to the home side in disappointment.

Warnock insisted he wouldn’t want to play ahead of Pickford, as he would drive him insane with his constant arguing and nagging.

Speaking on Sky Sports in the past 24 hours [21 March], Warnock did not hold back with his assessment of the keeper.

“I wouldn’t want to play in front of Jordan Pickford,” he said.

“I’d just be thinking ‘please be quiet with the way you’re acting’ the way he goes about things, he’d drive me insane.

“He saves a shot and has a go at people for letting a shot come in on goal, you’re goalkeeper, do your job, save the ball, don’t moan at people for getting shots away, but there’s a way of telling people.

“You’ve got to be tighter, he’s just so aggressive coming out.”

Shocking.

No one can escape criticism at this moment in time, and it appears that the atmosphere around everything Everton is so toxic right now.

Pickford loves a good moan, and given some of the saves that he has made this season, we would say he is warranted.

The defence has been nothing short of embarrassing this season, and Frank Lampard coming in has not changed anything.

After beating Newcastle and keeping a clean sheet, things were on the up only for two days before that embarrassment at Selhurst Park.

One thing Pickford will guarantee is some passion, though, and that is much more than we have been getting from some.
