UFC star Molly McCann wants to hold talks with Everton squad

UFC star and Everton fan Molly McCann wants to go into Finch Farm and talk to the players before their next game for a motivational talk.

The Toffees saw their momentum halted after a 1-0 win over Newcastle when they were stomped 4-0 by Crystal Palace in the FA Cup on Sunday, the day after McCann earned a stunning knockout win in her own fight at UFC London.

Now the avid Blues fan has taken to social media to ask the club if she can come in and talk with the players in the next week or two to try and get their spirits up.

Directly tweeting at the official Everton account, McCann said; “Can I come speak the players this week please? Or next?”

The squad is currently separated with players on international duty, but there are still plenty of first-team players at the training ground who will be working under Frank Lampard during the break.

Why not?

McCann is hardly the biggest sports name in the world and she’s not a motivational speaker, but what she is is a true representation of the Everton supporters that are suffering right now.

Fans are furious with the level of commitment and performance that the players have put in this season and despite Lampard’s arrival in January there’s barely been an improvement.

A 99th minute winner from Alex Iwobi last week against Newcastle opened up a small three point gap above the drop zone, but considering their fixture list they’re still in big trouble.

Everton still have to face Chelsea, Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal, West Ham and Leicester so points are going to be very hard to come by.

What harm could bringing in a real fan with sporting experience to try and motivate them do? Give it a try, there’s nothing more to lose at this point.
