Frank Lampard must listen to Ian Wright’s advice on Everton striker Calvert-Lewin
After the FA Cup debacle, Frank Lampard needs to find a solution to save Everton from going down.
The 1-0 win against Newcastle United gave them breathing space in the Premier League, but the real test will begin after the international break.
While there have been players who are severely under-performing for the Toffees, Lampard must get the best out of Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

The England striker has struggled for form and fitness this season, and has looked a shadow of the player he was last season.
However, there’s still time for him to make a strong impact. If he delivers, the Toffees can expect to climb up the ladder.
Ian Wright has suggested what Lampard must do with Calvert-Lewin and he is absolutely spot on.
“They need to get the ball into the box for him, but at the same time, he needs to get a consistent run of games going,” said Wright on ITV, as relayed by The Liverpool Echo.
“The way he plays… get the ball into him, so he can get a run of games, get the goals and get going again. Frank (Lampard) has to protect this guy. If they are to stay up Everton, then he has to do it for him.”

The problem for Lampard is that Calvert-Lewin has struggled with fitness, and he fears that the 25-year-old might get injured again which could ruin their season completely.
Calvert-Lewin must use this international break to build his fitness. He needs to get into better physical shape so that Lampard can use him straightaway.
Another issue raised by Wright is something Lampard needs to work on. He must find a system where Calvert-Lewin gets decent service from other players.
In most games, the midfield is over-run, and the strikers don’t get enough supply. Moreover, Richarlison wants to play upfront but he hasn’t been at his best as well.
It’s a big headache for Lampard to find a system that can get the best out of Calvert-Lewin. It’s now or never. If he doesn’t now, then when?
