Jones shares what he’s been told about Anthony Gordon future at Everton
Anthony Gordon wants to stay at Everton as long as possible despite the club’s ill fortunes, according to journalist Dean Jones.
The 21-year-old has been in stunning form at Goodison Park this term despite huge issues for the Toffees both on and off the pitch.
Since then, Gordon’s form has got better and better and the England Under-21 international has arguably been the Blues’ best player this season.

And it doesn’t look as though he’ll be quitting Goodison Park any time soon after former Eurosport journalist Jones shared what he’s been told about the young attacker.
“From everything that I can gather from speaking to people, he wants to remain at that club for as long as he possibly can,” said Jones to GiveMeSport.
“And so, I’ll be very surprised if Everton tried to cash in on him, that’s not the route to go down right now.”

No way
There’s no way Everton will want to sell Gordon, regardless of whether or not they get relegated from the Premier League this season.
Everton are the Premier League’s crisis club as it stands.
Alisher Usmanov’s sanctioning means that Farhad Moshiri has had to sever ties with his business associate and, as a result, cause a major blow to Everton’s income and his own ability to invest in the club.
We’ve all seen the reports regarding Financial Fair Play worries and also the issues regarding a lack of relegation clauses in players’ contracts.
All of it makes for grim reading. Relegation would absolutely ruin this football club.
Amid all the chaos, Gordon has been a shining light with the Merseyside-born attacker playing above and beyond all of his teammates at Goodison Park.
If everyone put in as much effort as Gordon, we’d be in the top half right now.
Unfortunately, there are too many players who we cannot wait to see the back of in the summer.
Gordon is definitely not one of them.
