View: Shocking stats show Frank Lampard isn’t right man for Everton job
Shocking statistics have been released by Liverpool ECHO that shows Everton manager Frank Lampard is not the right man for the job.
In fact, the Blues would have been better off sticking with Rafa Benitez. Despite the Spaniard being hated by the fans, his short time in charge showed much more promise than the former Chelsea players.
According to Comparisonator via ECHO, the Toffees’ goals per game has dropped to 0.71 since Lampard took charge compared to the 1.33 under Benitez which has resulted in their expected goals have also plummeted from 1.51 to 0.81.

Furthermore, Everton’s shot has gone from 11.39 to 9.43, shots on target are down from 4.39 to 2.86 and headed shots from 0.89 to 0.43.
Overall, Lampard’s side looks much worse in attack, if that was even possible after what was seen under Benitez with fewer attacking actions (47.17 to 43.17) and successful attacking actions (20.94 to 18.57).
The only area the 43-year-old improved on his predecessor was dribbling. More dribbles under the new led to more successful dribbles with 14.43 compared to the 12.83 under the Spaniard.
Awful
This is simply embarrassing for the new Toffees boss and if this continues, he will get the sack.
There has been a little lift in the dressing room that anybody could have brought with them when taking over from Benitez after his very toxic time in charge at Goodison Park.

Even that has seemingly worn off already with Lampard digging out his players after the Crystal Palace horror show.
In terms of the action on the pitch, he has shown he simply isn’t good enough to take the Blues to the next level but quite the opposite as he makes them worse in essentially every way possible.
If you look past the mess this squad is in, there are more than enough decent players capable of playing well and Lampard has completely failed to get the best out of them.
Farhad Moshiri does need to be patient with the former England international to avoid repeating the same mistakes time and time again but his start to life on Merseyside is very worrying.
In other Everton news, the Blues have lost their best player this season after Andros Townsend’s injury.
