New Everton drone images show Bramley-Moore Dock stadium development come to life

The new Everton stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock is coming to life and has been captured in new drone images released by the club.

The last of the four corner cores was installed this week in what Laing O’Rourke’s Project Engineer David Jackson called “a huge milestone for us” (Liverpool Echo).

And now new footage from the air has come out, showing the nearly 53,000 seat stadium starting to grow out of the ground.

According to the video on the club’s YouTube account, the development is “evolving at a break-neck pace” and the visible scale of the site is “simply breathtaking”.

While the final elements of the superstructure are just being completed in the last of the four corners, the building work has now reached two and three storeys high elsewhere.

Anticipation

These pictures, combined with the simulations of the completed project that were provided on the club’s Twitter last week, fans can really start to picture life at the new stadium.

Goodison Park is a popular and historic ground, and as with any team’s spiritual home it will be a wrench to leave it.

But a larger state-of-the-art ground with improved visibility from all areas should help the club’s long-term development.

It is a great shame that the milestones currently being reached in the building work are occurring against a backdrop of worry at the club.

The performances on the pitch, the threat of relegation, and the financial concerns take some of the excitement away from what should be a positive.

Seeing how the Bramley-Moore Dock development is coming on only highlights further how crucial it is for Frank Lampard to find a way to scrap for Premier League survival.

The Newcastle win before the international break was absolutely vital, but the Toffees’ fate still hangs in the balance and more results are required.

In other Everton news, the manager needs to turn to an academy product ready to continue his development amid Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s struggles.
