Everton ace Richarlison slammed for ‘disrespectful’ act in loss v West Ham
Everton suffered a blow in their hopes to stay in the Premier League as they fell to a 2-1 defeat away at West Ham with Michael Keane getting sent off.
Despite Mason Holgate’s deflected strike, Aaron Cresswell and Jarrod Bowen earned victory for David Moyes’ side which was ultimately a deserved one.
There was an incident after the final whistle had been blown however that piqued the interest of the BBC’s Jonathan Woodgate.
The former Middlesbrough defender thought Richarlison had been “hugely disrespectful” after the game as he headed straight down the tunnel rather than applaud the travelling support.
“They’ve travelled from Liverpool,” Woodgate said on BBC Radio Five Live. “Go and clap the fans. Don’t throw your toys out the pram.”
The least you should do
Whether you win, lose or draw, you always go over to the travelling fans and show your appreciation for their sacrifices.
That has never been up for debate and nor should it ever be either because the fans are what has won games for Everton in the past.

Richarlison did have a very frustrating afternoon in which he probably should have scored once he’d rounded Lukasz Fabianksi in the Hammers goal.
He found himself on the end of the majority of the strong challenges from the hosts and maybe he’d had enough of being there but he has to accept that.
It’s no excuse not to thank the fans for their efforts in getting to the capital and supporting them right to the final whistle.
Whether it was intentional or not, let’s hope Frank Lampard has had a word in his ear about it and he is able to rectify his actions in some way fairly soon.
