Michael Keane terrible 1/10, Alex Iwobi decent until error – Everton player ratings v West Ham
West Ham piled more misery on Everton in their bid to avoid relegation as Frank Lampard’s men lost 2-1 at the London Stadium on Sunday.
Aaron Cresswell’s free-kick and a goal by Jarrod Bowen were enough for the Hammers to earn all three points.
Mason Holgate did give the Blues some hope when he levelled the scores in the 53rd minute but sloppy play by Michael Keane and Alex Iwobi allowed West Ham in to score the winner five minutes later. Keane was then sent off for two yellow cards.

Here, Goodison News rates the Everton players out of 10 for their performances at the London Stadium.
Jordan Pickford – 5
We cannot say that Pickford should’ve saved Cresswell’s free-kick but there will be questions asked – yet again – of the Everton number one. Pickford is always capable of giving us a heart-in-mouth moment.
Jonjoe Kenny – 4
Can someone please explain why he’s getting games over Nathan Patterson?
Mason Holgate – 5
Holgate was thrown into the game at the last minute due to Donny van de Beek’s injury in the pre-game warm-up. He didn’t exactly look steady but he scored a nice goal.
Michael Keane – 1
What a game for Keane to wear the captain’s armband. He can’t pass, he can’t defend, he can’t tighten his studs on his boots and he can’t help himself from getting into trouble time after time. Keane has been a joke of a player for Everton. He’s an absolutely liability who needs to go.
Ben Godfrey – 4
Like his defensive teammates, Godfrey always causes concern for fans with his poor passing and lack of strength in the defence.
Vitaly Mykolenko – 4
We really feel sorry for Mykolenko because he’s been properly thrown into the deep end at Everton. He doesn’t seem like he’s anywhere near good enough for us at this stage of his budding career.
Abdoulaye Doucoure – 3
Doucoure is getting worse and worse each time he plays. The ex-Watford midfielder had next to no impact going forward and wasn’t in sync with any of his teammates. We wouldn’t lose any sleep if he was sold in the summer to raise funds.
Alex Iwobi – 5
Iwobi was thrown into the middle of the park due to Donny van de Beek’s pre-game injury – but we have absolutely no idea why. Lampard could have gone for actual central midfielders in Dele Alli and Isaac Price – but opted for someone who usually plays on the wing and usually plays badly. Iwobi was by no means terrible and was one of Everton’s better players. But that mistake that led to Bowen’s goal defined the game.

Demarai Gray – 4
Can anyone actually remember anything he did? Anonymous performance from the former Bayer Leverkusen winger, who should not be starting over Anthony Gordon.
Richarlison – 4
Richarlison is meant to be one of the star players in this team – but can anyone explain why he has that tag when he’s been consistently woeful over the last two years? Richarlison cost us a lot of money and we’re yet to see anywhere near a return on that. He should have scored at least one against West Ham.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin – 4
Evertonians haven’t seen anything great from Calvert-Lewin since he returned from injury. Those back-to-back issues for the England striker may be taking their toll but we demand a lot more from him.

Anthony Gordon (on for Calvert-Lewin, 78′) –
