Manchester United players believed that Donny Van de Beek had a weak mentality before his move to Everton.
That is according to the Manchester Evening News, who report his move to Goodison Park has only proved that this season.
It is suggested that the Dutchman has now been left majorly exposed in Merseyside with their situation uncomfortable.
Van de Beek has enjoyed a torrid time in the Premier League.
His move from Ajax has been nothing short of a disaster, starting with getting little to no opportunities at Old Trafford.
Then came the move to Everton on loan and the chance to work under Frank Lampard at Goodison Park.
Results haven’t really changed with more starts for him, and the Toffees still find themselves stuck in 17th.

When it rains, it has poured for Van de Beek, who now has that new injury to deal with moving forward.
The loanee is likely to miss the game at Burnley given that he was forced to drop out of the side in the defeat at West Ham through injury.
If it wasn’t serious, he may have started the game, but let’s hope his withdrawal was more precautionary.
Lampard has thrown his support behind the loanee, and with Allan suspended for one more game, he is needed desperately.
Now is the time to prove all of these critics wrong for Van de Beek, there will be nothing weak about him if he stands up and plays a huge role in keeping the Toffees in the Premier League.
