Frank Lampard gesture filmed after Everton lost 3-2 v Burnley
Everton lost 3-2 against Burnley in the Premier League on Wednesday at Turf Moor and they are facing the genuine prospect of relegation.
A brace from Richarlison in the first half, both from penalties, gave the Toffees a 2-1 lead at the break, but shambolic defending once again has cost them points away from home.
Frank Lampard and his players gave the fans “a wide berth” at the end of the game, as shared by Liverpool Echo journalist, Adam Jones on Twitter.
Should Lampard get the sack?
This is pathetic to watch.
Lampard, as a manager, is completely out of his depth.
He doesn’t know how to win a game away from home, and has now suffered his fifth defeat in a row on the travels.
After Richarlison scored twice and put the Toffees in the driver’s seat at the break, Everton were outplayed in the second half.

With only nine games left in the league, the Toffees are staring at relegation, and Lampard doesn’t exude confidence that he can turn it around.
While the players can be blamed, and there are even suggestions that keep on making the same errors again and again, it has to stop. It is the job of the manager to ensure his side doesn’t make mistakes at the back.
That second-half performance was shocking. The travelling fans deserve much better than this. This is simply unacceptable.
