Leon Osman destroys Everton players amid relegation nightmare
Leon Osman has emptied both barrels on the Everton squad following their hugely disappointing 3-2 defeat to Burnley on Thursday [April 6].
The Toffees find themselves with a rather uncomfortable one-point cushion on the relegation zone after they threw away a 2-1 lead at Turf Moor.
The former Blues ace expressed major concerns for Frank Lampard and his players, insisting there are no leaders within the group.

“The money Everton have put in, you expect the club to make forward steps,” Osman told talkSPORT.
“Not finding the club languishing at the bottom of the Premier League, struggling for points, struggling for form, struggling for any kind of performance really, so it’s a very worrying time for the club.
“I think that’s been a criticism of this team all season, you’re looking around and you’re wondering who are the characters? Who are the leaders?
“You saw the way Alex Iwobi give the ball away [in the defeat to West Ham] just as they got themselves back into the game, and Everton, defensively, are so exposed.
“You’re already falling behind in games, then you’re wondering who’s got the character to get on the ball and try and make things happen.
“And for the majority of this season that’s fell on the shoulders of young Anthony Gordon, which is incredible to say for a guy who’s just broken into the team, really young in age, really young in career [and he’s] carried the fight of such a huge club of such history of characters.”

Spot on.
Everton fans will be sick to the back of their teeth with not only how this team are playing – it is the same old story every week.
Admittedly, the journey to inevitably losing games has changed. Lampard has lifted the players enough that they can now show a degree of fighting spirit but time and time again, they crumble under the pressure.
You have to feel for the former Chelsea boss because the players he is working with are a disgrace.
It is ridiculous. How can a team that has spent this much money be so bad and nearing Premier League relegation? At any other club spending money would be a good thing, something that helps progress a team and makes them better but not the Toffees.
The money that Farhad Moshiri has blindly thrown at the Blues has destroyed the club and maybe getting relegated would be the best thing for the Blues because all of the players and hopefully the owners would then jump ship.
