Owen Hargreaves eats words after Everton win v Manchester United
Owen Hargreaves criticised the Everton defenders before their game against Manchester United on Saturday.
However, he ate his words at full-time as they kept a clean sheet and they ended up winning the contest 1-0.
Anthony Gordon’s first half strike was enough to secure the three points for them.

Speaking on Premier League Productions’ pre-match show, he said, “They’re making dreadful decisions all the time. This is what leads to goals. I don’t know what they can do.”
He changed his tune at the full-time whistle and said, “Everton did their job well and United just did not have any answers. There were just no efforts from them. The United players need to play like Anthony Gordon.”
Big win
Many in the Everton camp would have banked on winning the Burnley game.
It was a relegation six pointer and the Toffees ended up with zero points from that one.
The game against United, a side fighting for the top four, was always going to be a daunting prospect.
However, they did not give up hope and picked up the unlikely three points at Goodison Park.

As expected, the stadium was buzzing at full-time and they’ve now mounted a four-point cushion over Burnley.
Hopefully, this result keeps the Toffees up as a win at this stage is really important.
Burnley take on Norwich and it could go either way as both teams are battling relegation.
In other Everton news, a football finance expert has made a claim on the new Toffees stadium amid a major £300m development in the last week.
