Everton heading to USA for 2022/23 pre-season tour
Everton are set to head Stateside for their 2022/23 pre-season tour with games on both the east and west coast potentially taking place, according to the Liverpool Echo.
The Toffees were the only Premier League side to jump across the pond before this season got underway as they went on to win the Florida Cup on penalties against Millonarios of Colombia.
This year’s tour could supposedly branch out to include matches on both coasts of the United States of America as well as a return to defend their Florida Cup title.

The club are likely to wait until they have secured Premier League safety before making any such announcement of the tour with their status in the top division still very much up in the air with eight games to go.
Relegation means cancellation
These decisions will have to be made with plenty of time to spare which is maybe why we are hearing this now rather than after the season is done and dusted.
There are a lot of moving parts that go into coordinating a tour and the club have to be organised well in advance but this could backfire majorly.

If the Toffees endure a torrid end to the season and end up getting relegated, they will have to ask themselves if they can really bring themselves to head on the jumbo jet to Florida as a second-division club.
The American supporters turn up to see the best the Premier League has to offer and Everton can’t be that if they aren’t even a Premier League club.
As if survival wasn’t already paramount enough, this makes the need to stay in the top flight even more crucial if those players want any hope of taking in the sights of the States.
