Everton rank 18th in Deloitte Money League, embarrassing blow for Farhad Moshiri
Everton rank below Leicester and Wolves in the updated Deloitte Money League and only just ahead of teams like Zenit St Petersburg and Leeds United, according to Swiss Ramble.
After Leeds published their financial accounts for the 2020/21 season last week, football finance expert Swiss Ramble updated the Deloitte Money League for last term.
As shown in the tweet below, Everton rank as the 18th-richest football club in the world after posting revenue of £193million in 2020/21.
It’s an embarrassing blow for owner Farhad Moshiri, who now owns a club that rakes in less cash than Wolves – who were spending their third consecutive season in the Premier League last term.
Wolves’ revenue is only £1million higher than Everton’s but still, it just goes to show how this club’s started to fall backwards off the field, as well as on it.
Leicester are also ahead of the Toffees and are the highest-ranked Premier League club outside of the so-called big-six.
Of course, they’re still riding the high of their Premier League title success in 2015/16 but at the end of the day, Leicester and Wolves are two clubs who have spent seasons in League One within the last 14 years.

We’ve now been overtaken by clubs who we should be performing better than both on and off the pitch while Leeds threaten to soon catch up with the Blues too.
Leeds’ revenue in their first season back in the Premier League was £171million, ranking them just five places behind Everton.
Moshiri took over as majority shareholder at Everton in February 2016, Everton ranked 18th in the Deloitte Money League that year.
However, on that occasion, the Blues were the second highest-ranked club outside of the Premier League’s big-six, just behind Newcastle.
If Moshiri keeps up his terrible work behind the scenes, there’s no doubt that this historic club in English football will drop off the Deloitte Money League and, potentially, out of the Premier League too.
