Everton in contract talks with Lewis Warrington as contract nears expiration
Everton are in talks with Lewis Warrington’s representatives to extend the academy prospects contract, according to Liverpool Echo.
The Birkenhead born midfielders’ contract expires at the end of the season and the Toffees are keen on keeping him in the fold as he has been at the club at the youth level since 2009.
Warrington has impressed whilst being out on loan with Tranmere Rovers, having a hand in two goals in 12 games since making his loan move in January.

Future star.
This is great news for Everton. Warrington has continuously bossed it with the U23s but he needed a greater challenge which he has responded well to at Prenton Park.
Loan moves are where players gain the vital experience to make the step up into the first team set up and the 19-year-old has done exactly that.
He would have benefitted massively from playing in the Wirral as he will feel right at home – the best environment for him to solely focus on his football.

He is still some way off the first team at the moment and could definitely use with several more loan spells to ready him for Frank Lampard.
The Blues must be very happy with what they are seeing from their youngster out on loan if they are trying to sign him to a new deal at the club which you would hope he will inevitably sign.
Hopefully, Warrington can follow in the footsteps of the other youth products shining at the club – most notably Anthony Gordon – and make his way into the first team because he looks like a real future star.
