Everton: Farhad Moshiri will keep one eye on Burnley as Sean Dyche sacked in Premier League relegation battle
Everton are to endure another twist in the Premier League relegation battle due to what’s happening at Burnley right now.
Frank Lampard’s men opened up a four-point gap to 18th-placed Burnley last weekend by beating Manchester United before the Clarets lost away at basement boys Norwich.
Now, it has been confirmed that Burnley have sacked manager Sean Dyche.
It’s a huge and unexpected twist in the Premier League’s relegation battle with no one thinking that something like this would be on the cards.
Sure, Dyche hasn’t done a great job at Turf Moor this season with the Clarets sat in 18th, four points from safety with eight games left to play.
Dyche has dragged Burnley out of positions like this in the past and has been stuck with as manager when they were relegated in 2014/15.
It throws up a couple of worrying scenarios for Everton.

While the Blues’ win against Manchester United was impressive, the relegation battle isn’t over yet and a new manager could galvanise the Lancashire club.
It could have the opposite effect, sure. However, we’ve seen this happen in the past when a change of manager is made and a club survives.
We’ll have to wait and see who’ll take charge – but we wouldn’t be shocked if ex-Blues boss Sam Allardyce makes a return to football to manage the Clarets.
Farhad Moshiri cannot afford for Everton to be relegated so he’ll have to keep a very close eye on developments at Turf Moor.
