Frank Lampard set for major Farhad Moshiri backing at Everton, James Tarkowski big target – report

Frank Lampard is set to be majorly backed by Farhad Moshiri if Everton survive relegation this season, according to i News.

The online source has reported that Moshiri and the Toffees board have been impressed by the new manager since his arrival.

It is suggested that Burnley enforcer James Tarkowski is one player who has already been identified for the summer.

Lampard is said to want more leaders within his squad and more importantly defence with a lack of character at the moment.

Tarkowski is currently with relegation rivals Burnley, but his contract is quickly coming to an end in the summer.

Michael Keane, Mason Holgate and Ben Godfrey have all failed to impress this season, and Yerry Mina has had constant injury issues.

Money coming.

It is easy to say that Moshiri will back Lampard in the summer, and he will have the money to give to him.

But, with the Financial Fair Play rules very quickly creeping up on the Toffees, will they be allowed to spend it?

Tarkowski on a free would be easy to justify should other faces leave, with someone such as Moise Kean likely to bring in money.

Big money names such as Solomon Rondon and Cenk Tosun will also likely be shown the door, and they will free up more wages than we would care to imagine.

Lampard will be hailed if he keeps Everton in the Premier League, but he will really start being judged from the start of next season.

After his first full summer of bringing in and letting players go, he should be much happier with his squad and he must do much better.

Bring it on.
