Everton loanee Moise Kean to get last chance at Juventus in cup decider
Moise Kean has not had the loan spell away from Everton he was hoping for with Juventus but he looks set to get one final chance to impress in Turin.
The 22-year-old is set to start for the Old Lady in their Coppa Italia second leg against Fiorentina on Wednesday alongside huge January signing Dusan Vlahovic, according to Il Bianconero.
It has been more than a month since Kean’s last start for Juventus (12 March against Sampdoria) and the club have been searching for a way out of the obligation to buy him at the end of next season.
They don’t want him in Turin and having scored just five times in 35 appearances all season, you can’t blame them either given their enormous expectations of strikers.
Alvaro Morata is also showing attitude problems at Juventus which might have given the Toffees loanee his last stand in Italy and if he fails again, he’ll be turfed out in the blink of an eye.
It seems to have been the recurring story with Kean ever since he emerged onto the footballing world as a teenager with the Old Lady back in the 2016-17 season.
For all the genuine talent he has in his locker, there has always been some sort of underlying problem that has prevented him from being able to show the world what he can do on a regular enough basis.
When Everton purchased him from the Serie A side in 2019, many thought it was a superb piece of business given how high his ceiling could have gone.
But everything we have seen since suggests that the Toffees were ripped off and now they look set to exact their revenge on Juventus – despite not really meaning to – with this obligation to buy.
39 Everton appearances and only four goals show he is still suffering from the same problems he always has and if he isn’t going to buck his ideas up soon, he could be out of the game altogether before he knows it.
