Richard Keys makes Everton v Burnley relegation prediction amid Sean Dyche sacking
Richard Keys has tipped Burnley to overcome Everton in the Premier League relegation battle, but hopes it doesn’t happen after Sean Dyche was sacked.
The Clarets got rid of the longest-serving manager in the division after he followed up a 3-2 victory over the Toffees with a defeat to bottom side Norwich.
While repeating his previous wise-cracks at the Toffees from Twitter about Sam Allardyce or Rafa Benitez taking over and relegating their former side, he decried the situation behind the scenes at Turf Moor, citing it as the reason he hopes Frank Lampard’s side come out on top.

Writing on his blog, the beIN Sports anchor said: “I don’t share the anger at Burnley’s decision to sack Sean Dyche. I’m delighted for him. He should’ve got out of Turf Moor at least 18 months ago – maybe longer.
“He’s been ‘punching’ with that club all the time he’s been there. Let’s not forget that he had them in Europe at one time.
“In a straight fight between Burnley and Everton I’d still fancy Burnley, but now I hope not. I don’t like what I hear about what’s happening behind the scenes at Turf Moor.”
Just wants to watch the world burn
Keys was revelling in the idea that the Toffees would go down at the hands of a previous manager the other day.
Now he’s unhappy about Dyche’s sacking and wants his former side to fail to beat the drop as a result.
It is hard to imagine what would make the former Sky man happy at this point, aside from a division coached entirely by British managers.

Lampard is currently in the driving seat, as Burnley’s 1-1 draw with West Ham on Sunday (17 April) still leaves them three points behind but now having played a game more.
It remains to be seen what version of this Everton team emerges for the next game against Leicester tomorrow (20 April).
As it is at Goodison there is reason to be hopeful that they can build on the creditable win over Manchester United last time out.
But putting a run together has been beyond this squad all season so it is far from a certainty.
Burnley showed they could overcome the Toffees in a straight fight, but losing to the worst team in the division immediately after undercut it massively.
Win the game in hand and it is hard to see the manager-less Clarets clawing back a six-point gap.
In other Everton news, rival Premier League teams have been left “gobsmacked” by the deal that the club have managed to secure.
