Ross Barkley is ‘dead cert’ for Chelsea exit, Everton could take advantage – report
Everton could look to re-sign Chelsea playmaker Ross Barkley this summer, according to reports from 90min.
The England international is said to be a “dead cert” to leave Stamford Bridge after another disappointing year.
Barkley was tipped for a loan move in January, but that didn’t materialise either ahead of going into his final year at Chelsea.

Graeme Bailey and Krishan Davis reported on the 90min website that the former Toffees man is set to move on yet again.
“Having been given an opportunity earlier in the season, Ross Barkley has barely featured in 2022 after a January loan failed to materialise,” they wrote.
“The former Everton man’s contract expires in 2023 and he seems a dead cert for a cut-price summer sale.”

Key.
Frank Lampard could prove critical in this chase.
Leeds United and Newcastle are also tipped as potential destinations for Barkley, but having someone he knows there will help.
The former Chelsea boss will look to keep the Toffees in the Premier League this season, and as a reward, he will likely be backed.
Having said that, financial fair play rules are tight as we all know, so it could be a summer of loan or Bosman moves.
Everton may be put off this by Dele Alli though, who also arrived with little football under his belt, and it is fair to say that he has made zero impact at Goodison Park.
Bringing Barkley in would be the exact same risk, and if that backfires, it is just another Farhad Moshiri transfer disaster.
We must be smarter in the next window, and really start to build something special – we doubt Barkley would be part of that.
