Frank Lampard could land wonderkind Octavian Popescu for Everton in summer
When the summer transfer window reopens Frank Lampard will have a massive task in rebuilding the Everton side, provided they manage to avoid the drop.
Having inherited a fragile squad from his predecessors, it’s now daylight clear that some of the players aren’t simply good enough to represent the club.
Signing a striker is necessary, irrespective of whether Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Richarlison stay or go.

Moise Kean doesn’t appear to feature in Everton’s plans either, and probably that’s why the Toffees have already started making moves to bolster that area.
According to a report from Digisport, the Toffees are in negotiations to secure the signing of FCSB wonderkid Octavian Popescu ahead of the summer transfer window.
He is seen as one of Romania’s top talents and the player’s agents have reportedly held talks with the Toffees over a potential deal.
FCSB owner Gigi Becali, however, doesn’t want to sell the player right now, as he feels that he could get a huge fee in the future that justifies the player’s quality.
As per Becali, the player is worth around €50million (£42million), and that’s a hell lot of money. Surely, the Toffees won’t be willing to pay that sum.

The 19-year-old is showing tremendous potential this season. He has scored nine goals and provided four assists in 33 games in all competitions.
He is a versatile forward who can also operate as a left-sided winger. The young lad has also shown his ability to score from distance.
Lampard will seek reinforcements in the summer. The youngster looks like a cracking talent, but whether the Toffees can lure him to Goodison Park is another question.
In other Everton news, this “outstanding” striker has admitted he’s open to a loan exit as he looks for crunch talks with his agent.
