View: Seamus Coleman proves Everton importance with Goodison scenes
Seamus Coleman has yet again shown his importance to this Everton team with a brilliant response to his teammates following their 1-1 draw against Leicester City.
Despite Richarlison scoring a late goal to rescue a point against the Foxes at Goodison Park last night [April 20], the Blues players looked beat after the full-time whistle.
Frank Lampard and his players would have wanted to build on the stunning win against Manchester United the last time they played at home but former Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers did his best to cause an upset.
It might not have been the result the Toffees wanted but Coleman certainly understood how big the point will be in ensuring Premier League survival at the end of the season with Burnley breathing down their necks.
Touch of class
You wouldn’t expect anything other than the right-back going around and supporting his teammates after a disappointing result.
He has come under much scrutiny this season with his performance levels dropping far lower than his normal standards.
It really isn’t his fault though. At 33-years-old, the defender should be playing a reduced role in this side, similar to the one Mark Noble is playing at West Ham.

There is absolutely no chance he should have been backed to play 28 times this season – and counting – with Nathan Patterson being with the Blues since January.
Lampard might not have wanted to throw the former Rangers man into the deep end amid a relegation battle but there has certainly been a chance for the Scot to state his claim to the former Chelsea boss for a place in the team.
The Republic of Ireland international is a Toffees legend who has been let down with the scrutiny he has faced this season and last night’s full-time scenes just emphasise his leadership qualities in this team.
In other Everton news, the Blues are to axe several senior players in summer for “hungrier” alternatives according to Chris Beesley.
