BBC pundit predicts outcome of Liverpool v Everton

Everton earned a crucial 1-1 draw against Leicester City in the Premier League on Wednesday at Goodison Park.

Clinton Morrison has suggested that it could a “big” point for the Toffees, as he can’t see them getting anything in their next two games.

The Toffees face Liverpool in their next game at Anfield, and the fans can hardly get excited about the derby considering the form Jurgen Klopp’s side are in at the moment.

Morrison said on the BBC Football Daily podcast: “That’s big for him (Richarlison). Big for Everton.

“As I said, it could be a big point for Everton, because you can’t see them getting anything in their next two games, definitely not on the weekend against Liverpool, that’s for sure.”

Positive

It’s bitter truth at the moment, and fans can hardly get excited about the Merseyside derby, especially at Anfield.

Jurgen Klopp’s side demolished Manchester United 4-0 in their last game and they are in red-hot form at the moment, aiming for the quadruple.

The away form for Everton has been shambolic. Under Frank Lampard, the Toffees have found it hard to pick points away from Goodison Park, let alone win, and it’s the home form that has kept the side going.

So, Morrison is right in a way that it’s hard to see the Toffees getting a positive result at Anfield this weekend.

However, the club should look to pose a strong challenge to Chelsea when the Blues visit Goodison Park on 01 May.

The home form has been relatively better and the fans can expect at least a point from that game.

Against Leicester, it wasn’t a good performance from the home side, but what matters is the result. The Toffees are now four points ahead of Burnley, having played the same number of games.

In other Everton news, one Toffee shocked the commentary team with “one of the misses of the season” against Leicester.
