Sky Sports News shares embarrassing video clip of Allan in Everton defeat v Liverpool

Sky Sports News has shared an embarrassing video clip of Allan’s passing as Everton lost 2-0 to Liverpool on Sunday.

Allan, 31, registered just one pass before he was substituted off in the 73rd minute as the Toffees were beaten in the Merseyside derby at Anfield.

On Tuesday [26 April], Sky Sports showed just how bad Allan’s passing was with a compilation of his one completed pass and those he misplaced.

Humiliating

Allan has had a really mixed season at Goodison Park this term.

The 31-year-old Brazil midfielder has been an ever-present for both Frank Lampard and former manager Rafa Benitez, appearing 26 times in the Premier League.

He’s had some good days but it’s fair to say he’s also had a lot of bad days and his performance at Liverpool on Sunday was easily his worst.

There was literally useless.

Everton

The only thing he did was take a kick-off and we’re even surprised he managed to find a teammate with that.

According to stats by WhoScored, Allan’s completed 79.9 per cent of his passes in the Premier League this season and for a central midfielder, it’s fair to say that’s not good enough.

He does contribute a lot off the ball, averaging 2.8 tackles per game and 0.9 interceptions.

However, one of the fundamentals of being a defensive midfielder is to not only win the ball back but also retain possession.

His favourite target to pass to at Liverpool was the advertising boards.

And that’s one of the reasons why Everton are where they are in the Premier League table.

In other Everton news, a football finance expert has made a claim on the new Toffees stadium amid a major £300m development in the last week.
