View: Fixture schedule to pile pressure on Everton in relegation scrap
The Premier League fixture schedule is not a good read for Everton as it hands their relegation rivals a major boost.
The Blues have a lot of work to do as they currently sit in 18th place, two points adrift in the drop zone.
Burnley will have the opportunity to pile even pressure on Frank Lampard’s side by benefitting from playing their games before the Merseysiders can respond.

Disregarding the Toffees’ game in hand, they play every game after Burnley bar one – the penultimate game of the season against Crystal Palace where they kick off a mere 15 minutes before the Clarets.
It will be hugely psychologically draining for Everton to have to play after their rivals time and time again whilst having their backs up against the wall.
Pressure on.
However, there is somewhat of a silver lining to playing almost every game second.
Lampard’s side will know exactly what is required of them every time they step out onto the pitch.
If Burnley slips up it might give the Blues’ players that extra bit of motivation – should they even need it – to go out and win and usurp their rivals in 17th place.

Make no mistake though, playing second is horrible. The pressure on these Everton players will be almost unbearable for the last six games of the season but they have to cope with it.
This club has been ever-present in the English topflight since it was first founded and it would be a complete disaster If they were to drop out of it now.
Especially given the ridiculous amount of money that has been pumped into the club under Farhad Moshiri.
In other Everton news, Jamie Carragher has savaged the Blues’ “awful” owner, Farhad Moshiri.
