Chris Sutton shares Twitter reaction after Everton win v Chelsea
Chris Sutton was bowled over by the “incredible” atmosphere at Goodison Park on Sunday as Everton won 1-0 against Chelsea.
Richarlison took advantage of a mistake from Cesar Azpilicueta on the edge of the area to score the only goal of the match, his ninth goal of the season.
It was a priceless win for the Toffees as they move to within two points of the Premier League safety zone.
Sutton tweeted: “Amazing result Everton. Incredible atmosphere.”
Huge result
This is a massive result in the context of the relegation battle.
After Burnley won 2-1 against Watford yesterday and took a five-point lead, and at the same time, Leeds lost 4-0 against Manchester City, it was left to Everton to reduce the gap.
Goodison Park produced an incredible atmosphere and it did inspire the Toffees players to come out and show some characters on the pitch.

Yerry Mina was simply outstanding at the back. Mason Holgate looked solid too alongside him while the likes of Demarai Gary and Anthony Gordon played with energy and passion.
Richarlison provided the breakthrough after the break for the Toffees and Everton did really well to preserve the lead for the rest of the game.
Jordan Pickford also made some outstanding saves during the game and made sure they manage to hold on to the lead till the end.
The Toffees are still 18th in the table, but the psychological boost they have received today will help them overcome the hurdle in the relegation battle.
In other Everton news, Stan Collymore has taken a big swipe at this 25-year-old who he suggests is taking the Blues down to the Championship.
