Laura Woods shares what Tony Bellew told her about Everton potentially being relegated

Laura Woods was in New York this weekend and was speaking to Tony Bellew about Everton and their relegation battle.

The talkSPORT host shared that the Toffees fan admitted he would turn his phone off forever if his side were relegated.

After that huge 1-0 win over Chelsea on Sunday, Everton are now only two points behind Leeds and Burnley with a game-in-hand.

Not happening.

You could sense at Goodison Park on Sunday that something special was brewing, and the atmosphere exploded at full time.

This is the kind of passion we need to take into our final five games of this Premier League season, and if we do, we should be fine.

Of course, the Premier League is packed with twists and turns along the way, but having picked up wins against Manchester United and Chelsea, anything is possible.

With the likes of Watford, Crystal Palace and Brentford still to come, you would like to think that the ball is now in our court.

That hasn’t really been the case all season, so this is a new kind of pressure on the squad and Frank Lampard.

Bellew will have gone wild with the result yesterday, and hopefully, he will be celebrating even more in three weeks’ time.
