“Jordan is a world-class goalkeeper,” said Lampard to Everton Tv.

“He is a low-maintenance player, he’s easy to work with.

“He makes quick reaction saves and brave saves. He has saved us two points against Chelsea and that’s what it’s all about.”

Outstanding

The 28-year-old has been simply outstanding this season.

One of the problems Pickford faced previously is that he used to make costly errors at times, losing his concentration in the process.

This season, we have seen a different Pickford. His confidence level is sky high, especially after his impressive Euro campaign with England.

Pickford hasn’t put a foot wrong this season. The Toffees have gone through a disastrous campaign, and yet Pickford has managed six clean sheets.

His distributions have been superb this season while the former Sunderland goalkeeper has always been exceptional at making saves.

The final five games are crucial for the Toffees. The home has been brilliant, but it’s their form away from home that is a big worry.

Under Frank Lampard, the Toffees are yet to win or draw a game away from home, but they need to turn it around.

Everton will face three away games from here on, including a trip to Leicester this weekend.
