Frank Lampard hopes to get Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin fit v Leicester
Frank Lampard hopes Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin will be in better shape before their next game against Leicester City (08 May).
The confidence in the squad is sky high following their 1-0 victory over Chelsea in the previous game.
Calvert-Lewin was an unused substitute during the game, but he will now get a week’s time to recover fully.

“We have a week now [before the Leicester game] to get Dom more fit, because he can be a big player for us – we know that – and to keep the levels in the squad high and positive,” said Lampard, as relayed by Evertonfc.com.
Needs to contribute
This has been a poor season from Calvert-Lewin, but he needs to contribute now and help the Toffees get out of the relegation zone.
The England international has struggled with form and fitness this season, and he picked up yet another muscle injury recently.
As a result of these frustrating injuries, he has hardly been able to play with confidence. He is a key player for the Toffees, but with the club struggling collectively, Calvert-Lewin has found it difficult to leave a strong impression.

However, the next five games are absolutely vital. The club’s survival hopes are at stake and every player needs to give their all to pull the club out of this mire.
The Toffees earned a deserved 1-0 win against Chelsea in the previous game in front of a vociferous atmosphere at Goodison Park.
They need to improve their away results. The Toffees find themselves 18th in the league but they have cut the gap with Leeds and Burnley to two points, having played a game less.
