View: Everton get major relegation boost as brilliant Richarlison stat shared
Everton forward Richarlison has been awarded the Sporting Life Football xG player of the month and the breakdown in statistics come as a huge relegation boost.
The Blues currently sit 18th in the table but their Championship nightmare was sliced in half after their Goodison Park win against Chelsea – which the Brazil forward played a crucial role in, scoring the decisive winning goal.
Frank Lampard’s team have massively struggled without their talisman Dominic Calvert-Lewin this season and despite it being his favoured position – the 24-year-old hasn’t done nearly enough when backed to pay upfront.

However, the attacker’s last five games have seen him notch three goals and one assist whilst boasting 21 shots resulting in 3.74 expected goals across those games.
It is safe to say this is the best form the former Watford man has been in all season and if he maintains these performance levels – the Toffees will be nailed on to stay up.
Go time.
Richarlison reaped havoc against Lampard’s former team in Chelsea on Sunday [May 1]. He seemingly soaked in the atmosphere and used it to fuel his relentless pressing and tackling throughout the whole game.
It hasn’t often been said about the Brazilian but he led by example against the visitors and the whole team followed suit. He can often come across as quite an annoyed, isolated figure in the Blues’ team but even when Chelsea stamped their mark on the game – not once did he show any sign of that.
If he replicates his energy, attitude and performance levels in the five remaining Premier League games, Leeds and Burnley do not stand a chance.
Everton are now in the driving seat and the opportunity for the senior players in the squad is just waiting to be grabbed.
With the forward likely to be on his way out of the club in the summer, this could be a perfect goodbye.
In other Everton news, Jordan goes berserk in an “absolutely crap” Everton rant – saying that they “don’t deserve to stay up“.
